Uzbekistan Airways planning to resume flights to Almaty from Jan 15
Uzbekistan Airways is planning to resume regular flights to Almaty from January 15, the company is awaiting confirmation from the Kazakh side, Interfax reported.
Almaty airport is set resume work on January 13, the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan said. Prior to that, another date for the resumption of its work was called twice – January 14 and 19.
It should be recalled that Uzbekistan Airways canceled flights to Almaty and Aktobe amid mass protests in Kazakhstan.
According to Kazakh media reports, the airports of Aktau, Aktobe and Almaty stopped operating. According to eyewitnesses, the rioters noted that they attacked terminals to prevent Russian troops from landing.
