Emergencies Ministry warns of avalanche danger in mountainous areas

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has warned of avalanche danger from January 28 to January 31 in the mountainous regions of Uzbekistan.

The department urged citizens to take precautions and not to enter restricted areas marked with signs “Caution – avalanche danger!”

On January 28-29 this year, humid and cool air mass from Iran is expected to invade the territory of Uzbekistan through the Caspian Sea and Turkmenistan.

According to the hydrometeorological service, on January 28-29, a strong wind is expected in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Tashkent, Samarkand and Syrdarya regions.
