The Council is created in accordance with the agreements between the heads of the two states. Chairman of the Kazakh Parliament Yerlan Koshanov stressed that it will give a new impetus to the interaction between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, including at the legislative level.

He noted that over 30 years of diplomatic relations between the republics a solid foundation has been laid for the development of cooperation in all areas. In turn, the speaker of the legislative chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Nurdinjon Ismoilov, expressed gratitude for the high appreciation of his contribution to the development and strengthening of Kazakh-Uzbek integration ties.

“The creation of the Council will increase the effectiveness of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the implementation of all agreements. I am sure that this visit of Speaker Ismoilov will further strengthen and develop the strategic partnership between our fraternal countries,” Koshanov said.
