Uzbekistan Airways receives first Airbus A321neo (LR) aircraft
Uzbekistan Airways received its first Airbus A321neo (LR) aircraft On February 14. The plane was delivered from Hamburg, Germany.
The company has become the first operator of an Airbus long-haul aircraft in Central Asia.
The aircraft with registration number UK32101 is designed for 188 passengers (16 seats in business class, 172 seats in economy class) and is equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A engines. The airline plans to use the A321LR on domestic and international routes.
"The airline's immediate plans are to expand the geography of flights to countries near and far abroad, as well as to actively expand the fleet through the purchase of new and convenient aircraft. A clear example of this is the ordering of five Airbus planes, which will be received by the end of this year,” said the Board Chairman of Uzbekistan Airways Ilhom Mahkamov.
The company has ordered a total of five Airbus aircraft: four more will be delivered by the end of 2022.
