Uzbekistan, Malaysia celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations
On February 21, 2022, Foreign Affairs Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov sent a congratulatory message to his Malaysian counterpart Saifuddin Abdullah on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
As noted in the message, in recent years a solid foundation has been created for a significant intensification of political dialogue, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
According to Kamilov, the parties established close and constructive interaction within the framework of international organizations.
He expressed confidence in the further deepening of Uzbek-Malaysian relations in all areas of mutual interest.
It should be noted that Malaysia supported the UN General Assembly resolution “Strengthening regional and international cooperation to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in the Central Asian region”, initiated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
