Gov’t approves national goals and targets in the field of sustainable development for period up to 2030
A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to accelerate the implementation of the National goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development for the period up to 2030” was adopted.

The document approved the National goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development for the period up to 2030, a plan of measures for the effective implementation of the National goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development for the period 2022-2026, the composition of the coordinating council for the implementation of the National goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development for the period up to 2030.
In particular, the following tasks are set:
- to halve the level of poverty in the country by 2030;
- to increase the targeting and efficiency of the social protection system, the quality of social services, as well as the achievement of full coverage of all those in need of social protection;
- to strengthen food security, improve food rations and promote sustainable agricultural development;
- to ensure a healthy lifestyle and promoting the well-being of people of all ages;
- to ensure universal and equitable quality education and access for all to lifelong learning;
- availability and reasonable use of water resources, sanitation and others.
