Uzbekistan exported $1.5 million worth of pepper in January

In January 2022, Uzbekistan exported 1.7 thousand tons of pepper to 11 countries for $1.5 million.

The volume of pepper exports decreased by 180 tons compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said.

Major importers of Uzbek pepper during the reporting month:

• Kazakhstan - 1.3 thousand tons
• Russia - 102 tons
• USA - 91.2 tons
• Kyrgyzstan - 86 tons
• Germany - 32.2 tons
