Moscow Exchange discusses launch of trading in Uzbek soum
The Moscow Exchange plans to expand the list of currencies available on the platform in the near future. One of them should be the Uzbek soum.
Now the exchange of the ruble for 10 foreign currencies is available on the platform: US dollar, euro, Turkish lira, Hong Kong dollar, Belarusian ruble, Kazakh tenge, Swiss franc, British pound, Japanese yen and Chinese yuan, Kun.uz correspondent reports referring to RBC.
The launch of trading in the Armenian dram and the Emirati dirham (the UAE currency) is also being discussed.
After the suspension of trading in shares of Russian issuers on Western exchanges and the subsequent delisting, domestic companies are eyeing the Eastern trading floors – primarily Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong stock exchanges.
