Over 525 thousand Uzbeks went abroad in Q1 2022 to visit their relatives – Statistics Committee

In the first quarter of 2022, 525.1 thousand Uzbeks went abroad to visit their relatives, the State Statistics Committee said.
According to the committee, in January-March, among the purposes of traveling abroad for citizens of Uzbekistan, visiting relatives holds the upper hand.
Also, 138.6 thousand people went on vacation, 40.2 thousand people went to study.
During the reporting period, 9.5 thousand people left Uzbekistan for treatment, and 3 thousand people for official purposes.
Earlier it was reported that in 2022, 536,000 people came to Uzbekistan to visit relatives.
