Uzbekistan, Egypt hold inter-MFA political consultations in Cairo
On May 25, Cairo hosted the 10th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Egypt.
The parties, having exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Egypt, confirmed that the two countries have wide opportunities for further enhancing cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It was noted that the high-level talks between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Abdulfattah al-Sisi, held on September 4-5, 2018 in Tashkent and on February 5, 2022 in Beijing, raised bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to such issues as supporting direct contacts between businessmen of the two countries, increasing the mutual flow of tourists, expanding ties in such priority areas as education, religion, innovation, healthcare, security and military-technical cooperation.
The parties also exchanged views on interaction within the framework of international organizations.
