Uzbekistan to open an embassy in Sweden
Nadir Ganiev, who was appointed to the position of adviser to the diplomatic mission, acts as the temporary representative of Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Sweden.

Ganiyev, 50, was born in Fergana. In 1993, he graduated from Tashkent State University (now National University) majoring in philology and oriental studies. Since 1994, he has been working in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, taking various positions in the central apparatus and diplomatic missions of the country abroad.
Before leaving for Sweden, he worked as the head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The diplomatic mission in Stockholm will be the 36th embassy of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.
