China to create an innovative vaccine production center in Uzbekistan worth $100 million
An "Innovative Vaccines Center" will be created in Uzbekistan. It will be the only such center in Central Asia.
On September 13, an online meeting was held between the Minister of Innovative Development Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov and the head of Luye Investment Group Co. Ltd.
The parties signed a memorandum on the establishment of the Innovative Vaccines Center with a total cost of $100 million in 2023-2028.
The Center will be the only full-cycle biotechnological enterprise in Central Asia that will allow delivering high-tech products to the market of the republic and the CIS countries.
The project plans to produce 200 million doses of 10 different vaccines for the treatment of hepatitis A, hepatitis B, papillomavirus, measles, tetanus and other diseases.
The plant will be located in Tashkent region.
