Some state duty rates to be reduced in Uzbekistan
At the thirty-fifth plenary session of the Senate, the law on amendments and additions to the law “On state duty” was considered.
According to a Kun.uz correspondent, the law is aimed at alleviating the situation of citizens by radically simplifying the processes of notarial acts, exempting them from paying state fees, and clarifying the specifics of collecting state fees.
The document establishes exemption from payment of the state fee when issuing a certificate of the right to inheritance in relation to the individual accumulative pension account of a deceased citizen and provides for the solution of problems arising in connection with this.
The state fee rates have also been optimized in order to be understandable for citizens and to ensure transparency in the amount of fees charged for notarial acts. On the basis of the law, the size of the state fee established for the certification of a property lease agreement or making amendments to it has been reduced by half.
Differentiated rates of state duty for certification of pledge, mortgage and leasing agreements, loan agreements and agreements for the alienation of motor vehicles are unified and set at a single rate.
According to the law, the amount of the state duty levied on other persons who are not relatives, certification of powers of attorney for the management and disposal of motor vehicles, as well as contracts for the gratuitous use of motor vehicles, has been reduced from 3 to 2 BCAs.
In addition, in order to prevent possible disputes during the conclusion and execution of loan agreements between citizens, as well as to reduce the workload in courts, the law provides for a halving of the state fee for notarization of these types of agreements in foreign currency.
Senators believe that the adoption of this law will ensure the prevention of some misunderstandings in the calculation and collection of the state fee, the correct use of state fee benefits by notaries, and will alleviate the situation of citizens in paying the state fee.
