Uzbekistan imported $635 million worth of cars over ten months

In January-October 2022, Uzbekistan imported 25,048 cars worth $635.7 million from foreign countries.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the import of passenger cars increased by 3,896 compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported cars from 27 foreign countries.

Major car suppliers to the Uzbek market in January-October 2022:

• China – 9,332
• Korea R. – 7,600
• Kazakhstan – 5,717
• Russia – 1,443
• USA – 475
• UAE – 127
• Japan – 122
• Germany – 111

Over the ten months, the republic imported 1,749 electric vehicles worth $55.4 million.
