Uzbekistan repatriated 138 citizens from China who found themselves in a difficult life situation there
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in China holds regular meetings and “round tables” aimed at familiarizing fellow citizens living in China with the essence and objectives of the decrees of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to further improve the state policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of cooperation with compatriots living abroad” dated October 25, 2018 and “On measures to implement a system of safe, orderly and legal labor migration” dated September 15, 2022.
The Embassy, in close cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of China, is actively working to protect the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens, which meets the requirements of state policy in the field of interaction with compatriots abroad.
In particular, over the past period of this year, 81 meetings and negotiations were held with representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, the Supreme People’s Court and the MFA Consular Department on issues related to the protection of the rights of compatriots.
As a result of the joint work carried out with the competent authorities of China, 138 of our citizens who found themselves in a difficult life situation were returned to their homeland.
The Embassy continues systematic work on the comprehensive protection of compatriots who find themselves in a difficult life situation.
