Number of schools in Uzbekistan increased by 748 over past 5 years

According to the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the number of general education institutions at the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year was 10,522.

Over the past 5 years, the number of general education institutions has increased to 748.

Number of educational institutions by years:

• At the beginning of the 2018/2019 academic year – 9,774
• At the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year – 10,090
• At the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year – 10,181
• At the beginning of the 2021/2022 academic year – 10,289
• At the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year – 10,522

The number of general education institutions increased by 1,965 compared to the 1991/1992 academic year.
