2 people killed in explosion at a cast iron foundry in Namangan

On February 15, 2023, an explosion occurred in a cast iron foundry located in the Namangan district of the Namangan region due to an increase in steam pressure.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, as a result of the incident, 1 man working at the workshop was injured, and 2 died at the scene.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 257, Part 2, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code (Violation of Labor Protection Rules).

Investigations are underway.
