Gov’t provides info on hajj quota, dates and cost for 2023
This year, 15,000 Uzbeks will make a pilgrimage to Medina and Mecca.
On June 4, the first plane with pilgrims this year will depart from Tashkent to Medina, the press service of the Ministry of Transport reported.
It is noted that within the framework of the Hajj-2023 event, from June 4 to June 19, passenger air transportation is planned for 15 thousand pilgrims to Medina from 10 regional international airports of Uzbekistan, namely from Tashkent, Namangan, Ferghana, Karshi, Termez, Samarkand, Bukhara, Navoi, Urgench and Nukus.
The flights will be operated by Uzbekistan Airways JSC.
Return flights from Jeddah to the cities of Uzbekistan are scheduled for July 4-22.
According to the Committee for Religious Affairs, the cost of the hajj pilgrimage this year is 68 million 760 thousand soums.
