Cases related to illegal sale of land discovered in regions

The head of a farm in the Kanlikul district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan demanded $400,000 in exchange for formalizing a total of 620 hectares of agricultural land belonging to this farm and 3 unrelated farms under the name of the buyer through his official acquaintances. While receiving $200,000 in advance through his relative, he was caught with material evidence by employees of Khorezm Regional SSS Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

At an operative event held by employees of the Samarkand Regional SSS Department in cooperation with employees of the Regional PGO Department, the head of a farm in Akdarya district was caught when he agreed to sell 1.5 hectares of the farm’s land to a citizen who wanted to build a greenhouse for $120,000, and received $60,000 in advance.

In another case, a person working at Urgut Trading Complex LLC earned the trust of another. He was arrested while demanding $40,000 and receiving $30,000 in advance to transfer 60 square meters of land to him from the territory of this shopping complex.

The officer in charge of the Directorate of Management and Coordination of Small Industrial Zones of Namangan Region in one of the districts promised to transfer 80 hectares of land from the territory of the small industrial zone located in the district where he operates and demanded 300 million soums from a citizen who wanted to do business there. The fraudster was arrested by the State Security Service when he received the money. 

Currently, on the above fact, criminal cases have been initiated against the guilty persons under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigative activities are being conducted.
