Education

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that the coverage of preschool education in Surkhandarya region will be increased from the current 60% to 100% due to the establishment of 2,000 new state and private kindergartens. More than 100,000 additional student seats will be created by 2030 due to building modern schools, increasing their capacity, and creating conditions for the private sector.

At the same time, all schools in the region will be equipped with modern computer classrooms and interactive whiteboards.

Housing construction

In the next seven years, 50,000 families will have comfortable housing in 1,500 apartment buildings in the region.

“We will allocate $1 billion for this from all sources. For example, 12,000 families will be provided with housing as a result of the construction of 300 multi-storey houses in the “Yangi Uzbekiston” blocks in Angor, Boysun, Jarkurgan, Sariosiyo and Termiz districts. 4,000 kilometers of internal roads will be repaired and 35 bridges will be rebuilt in the region by 2030,” the candidate said.

Water supply

According to the candidate's pre-election program, the waste water system will be repaired in Termiz with the investment of $100 million attracted from the German bank KFV. With the help of the Saudi Development Fund, wastewater systems will be built in Sariosiyo, Denau and Jarkurgan.

“As you know, we have started a big project to bring drinking water for the residents of Surkhandarya from the “Tupalang” reservoir. This project will be fully completed next year. As a result, the level of provision of drinking water to the population of the region will be increased to 90%. In general, $460 million will be allocated to drinking water and wastewater projects in the region,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
