UK appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan
The diplomatic mission of the country will now be led by the former head of the Eastern Mediterranean Department at the British Foreign Office, Timothy Smart.
Timothy Smart has been appointed as the new British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, according to the official website of the British government.
Timothy Smart will start working in Uzbekistan in August this year, replacing Timothy Torlot, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the republic.
Prior to his appointment, Timothy Smart was head of the Eastern Mediterranean Department at the British Foreign Office.
