Tashkent hosts Uzbekistan-India inter-MFA political consultations
On August 7, Tashkent hosted the next round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and India.
According to the MFA, the delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev and Deputy Foreign Minister of India Sanjay Verma.
During the consultations, a constructive exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues, including the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, and the prospects for expanding the legal framework for cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to proposals for enhancing economic diplomacy, increasing mutual trade and implementing joint investment projects.
The sides considered the schedule of upcoming contacts between the parliaments, governments and regions of the two countries.
The delegations discussed topical issues of international and regional politics, as well as the Uzbek-Indian dialogue within the framework of multilateral structures.
