Homeowners will be compensated for the damage sustained as a result of the explosion – Tashkent governor

Damage caused to the owners of houses as a result of the explosion in a warehouse in the Sergeli district will be compensated, said the governor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umrzakov, who arrived at the scene.

“The material damage will be compensated in 2-3 days, we will solve these problems,” said Umrzakov.

Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other officials arrived at the scene in the morning. 

Emergency rescue units have set up tents and are providing medical assistance to the injured in the explosion.

Fire extinguishing operations are still ongoing. Defense Ministry helicopters were also involved in the process.
