Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Israel
Jahongir Aminov has become the new ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel.
He replaced Feruza Mahmudova, who has been leading the country’s diplomatic mission in Israel since 2020.
Prior to his appointment – since October 2019 – Jahongir Aminov had been working as the head of the Foreign Investment Attraction and Financial-Technical Assistance Department of the General Department for Foreign Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Before that, he served as the head of the Department for Cooperation with the CIS countries at the MFA.
Feruza Mahmudova, who has been serving as Uzbekistan's ambassador to Israel since 2020, has completed her mission.
