Tashkent resident buys license plate for about $73,000

On October 10, a resident of Tashkent purchased the license plate 01 777 RRR for 893,970,000 soums. At the current Central Bank exchange rate, it’s equal to a little more than $73,000.

According to avtoraqam.uzex.uz, the starting price for this number was set at 297 million soums. The number was put up for auction on September 30.

The commission fee amounted to more than 45 million soums and the security deposit – to 29.7 million soums.
