Earlier, the Russian-language channel of Israel’s Foreign Ministry reported that 3 citizens of Uzbekistan were killed and 4 were missing as a result of the ongoing conflict, adding that the information is in the process of being clarified.
Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Israel commented on the report and stated that the deceased compatriots did not have Uzbek citizenship.
“During the attacks, 5 people were killed who were born in Uzbekistan and moved to Israel under the repatriation program to the south of the country in the 1990s.
According to the information received, they did not have a valid Uzbek citizen's passport,” the message says.
