Five members of a family died from gas poisoning in Karakalpakstan
Two other family members were found in critical condition and hospitalized.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, on December 15 at about 11:45 in the Kenes neighborhood of the Chimbay district, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a family of seven people was found unconscious by neighbors.
Emergency doctors who arrived at the address recorded the death of 66-year-old M.B., 62-year-old Z.M., 37-year-old S.B., 15-year-old A.A. and 12-year-old M.A.
Two other family members, 28-year-old T.O. and 23-year-old A.B., were in critical condition and were hospitalized in the district hospital.
During the pre-investigation check, it was established that the reason for the incident was carbon monoxide poisoning.
The Chimbay District Prosecutor's Office has ordered a forensic medical examination and is conducting investigations.
