Criminal case opened against a former judge in Tashkent
The representative of the law is accused under several Articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including extortion, falsification of evidence and imposition of an unfair verdict.
A criminal case was opened in Tashkent against a former judge of the Sergeli district court on criminal proceedings.
It turned out that a criminal case was pending in court, accusing the management of one of the construction companies of fraud on an especially large scale.
The detainee, while serving as a judge, considered this case: committed crimes such as inaction, falsification of evidence, extortion and passing an unfair verdict.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Articles 165 (Extortion), 208 (Inaction of authorities), 230-1 (Falsification of evidence) and 231 (Issuing an unjust sentence, decision, determination or resolution) of the Criminal Code.
The preliminary investigation into this criminal case is being conducted by the SSS Investigation Department.
