Uzbekistan, Pakistan to strengthen cooperation in resolving humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan
The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, met yesterday with the Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan for Afghanistan, Asif Durrani.

According to the MFA, during the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the efforts of the international community, as well as the two countries, to expand cooperation in the Afghan direction.
The sides also discussed ongoing transport and communication projects in Afghanistan, in particular, the construction of the Termez – Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar railway line, which, according to the Pakistani side, is of key importance in the implementation of the concept of regional interconnectivity.
The parties expressed mutual interest in developing joint actions to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, as well as to promote the peaceful development of the country.
