President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to visit Uzbekistan
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is set to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan from February 7 to 9, at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the visit, high-level negotiations are planned, with a focus on expanding the multidimensional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus. The talks are set to cover practical aspects of enhancing collaboration in various sectors, including education, healthcare, culture, and more.
Increasing trade, advancing cooperation in agriculture, light and food industries, pharmaceuticals, communications, and other sectors will be central to the discussions. There will also be dialogue on programs aimed at developing partnerships in professional education, healthcare, culture, sports, and tourism.
Following the negotiations, a package of bilateral documents is expected to be signed between the two countries.
In the lead-up to the visit, a number of business events involving regions and entrepreneurs from both sides are currently taking place in the city of Tashkent. These pre-visit engagements reflect the commitment to strengthening the economic and cultural bonds between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
