On June 17-19, a delegation of businessmen from the Khorezm region, led by the head of the territorial department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Kudratbek Igamberdiev and the deputy head of the regional investment department Alisher Dushanov, visited Poland.
As part of the visit, a joint business forum was organized at the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Warsaw. More than 50 representatives of the business communities of Uzbekistan and Poland took part in it.
President of the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Janusz Piechocinski, who opened the forum, noted the successful III Tashkent International Investment Forum held in May this year, and highly appreciated the results of the Polish business mission to the Surkhandarya region.
It was emphasized that Poland is closely following the rapid changes and development process in Uzbekistan. “The comprehensive program for the development and modernization of the republic is an excellent opportunity to expand cooperation with Polish business, which is beneficial to both parties,” he said.
The Embassy of our country in Poland presented a presentation of the trade, economic, investment and tourism potential of the republic, information on the state and prospects of Uzbek-Polish cooperation.
Representatives of the Khorezm regional administration presented the economic and tourism potential of the region. The forum participants highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and expressed their readiness to help accelerate the process of modernization of the country.
Negotiations were held in B2B format with representatives of the companies “Polfrost”, “R&S”, “We are quality”, “Van Pur”, “Magorex”, “Qultivo PSA”, as a result of which agreements were reached on the export of domestic agricultural, food and pharmaceutical products.
An agreement was also reached to organize a business mission to the Khorezm region in September this year.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between the Khorezm regional territorial department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Bialystok Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
