The highest state award of the brotherly country was ceremonially presented to the leader of Uzbekistan by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressing sincere gratitude on behalf of the multinational people of Uzbekistan, emphasized that such a high award is a recognition of joint efforts to strengthen the centuries-old true friendship and good-neighborly relations between the two peoples, as well as an acknowledgment of the mutual aspiration to elevate Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan relations to a new historical stage — the level of strategic partnership and alliance.

The "Order of the Golden Eagle" is awarded to statesmen for their significant contributions to strengthening friendly relations with Kazakhstan.
