Uzbekistan abolishes double tax rate on urban agricultural land
Agricultural land plots will now be taxed at a single rate.
On August 28, Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree supporting agricultural enterprises. The document was published in the Lex.uz database.
The calculation of land tax on agricultural plots located within city and town boundaries at a double rate has been abolished. Now, the tax for these lands will be calculated at the standard rate.
It has been ordered to prepare a draft law within a month to introduce the relevant amendments to the Tax Code. The proposal was submitted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Tax Committee.
This initiative aims to reduce the tax burden on entrepreneurs and simplify tax administration. Additionally, the reduction of tax rates is intended to "reduce economic inequality between the country's regions."
