Qanot Sharq, My Freighter, and Air Samarkand to launch flights to South Korea

A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport, accompanied by representatives from the Uzbek Embassy in South Korea, held talks with South Korea's aviation authorities in Seoul. The discussions focused on strengthening aviation cooperation between the two countries, removing limitations on the number of designated airlines, and granting necessary rights to these airlines for flight operations. The talks also addressed increasing the frequency of flights and expanding the range of destinations between Uzbekistan and South Korea.

It was announced that in addition to Uzbekistan Airways, new resident airlines such as Qanot Sharq, My Freighter, and Air Samarkand will be allowed to operate flights between the two countries.

The last round of consultations between the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan and South Korea took place in 2018. At that time, it was agreed that each country would allow up to 10 weekly flights, with two airlines from each side authorized to operate these routes.
