Family of four killed in Samarkand gas explosion
A family of four tragically lost their lives in Samarkand after a gas explosion occurred in their home. The incident took place on October 22 at around 6:20 a.m. in the "Mustaqillik" neighborhood of the Koshrabod district, Samarkand region.
According to preliminary reports, the explosion was caused by a gas leak in the second-floor apartment of a two-story residential building. Unaware of the leak, the homeowner switched on the lights, which triggered the blast.
The explosion claimed the lives of a married couple and their two children, who died at the scene.
The General Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the gas leak and ensure that appropriate safety measures are taken.
