Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Croatia
Oybek Shakhavdinov, who has served as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Hungary since March last year, has been appointed the new Ambassador to Croatia.
On October 23, Ambassador Shakhavdinov presented copies of his credentials to Mirta Jelenc Župan, Head of Protocol at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the future of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Croatia.
Previously, Shakhavdinov was appointed as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Hungary, a position he held before assuming his new role in Croatia. His diplomatic career reflects Uzbekistan’s efforts to strengthen ties with European nations.
