Palestinian families in Uzbekistan to receive social assistance and free preschool services
Palestinian citizens who arrived in Uzbekistan from the Gaza Strip and are temporarily residing in the country will be provided with social assistance.
A presidential decree titled “On measures to establish a system for providing assistance to a group of Palestinian citizens in Uzbekistan based on the principles of state care, compassion, and mercy” has been adopted.
According to the decree, each Palestinian family will receive a one-time lump-sum payment for the purchase of essential non-food household items.
To provide personal support and individual assistance, a local social worker will be assigned to each Palestinian family.
The children of Palestinian citizens will be enrolled in state preschool education institutions and schools based on their place of residence.
Palestinians will be exempt from parental fees for child services in state preschool education institutions until 1 January 2028. Their children will be admitted to state preschools and schools without being placed on a waiting list, based on a request from Inson centers.
Palestinian citizens will be registered at family doctor’s offices, family polyclinics, and district (city) multi-specialty central polyclinics in their place of residence.
It should be recalled that on 26 December 2024, a group of Palestinian families was evacuated from Rafah to Uzbekistan. They were placed in rehabilitation centers and hospitals for treatment and recovery.
