Ravshan Irmatov named Deputy Chair of FIFA’s Technology and Innovation Committee
Representatives from Uzbekistan, including the First Vice President of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) Ravshan Irmatov, have for the first time in history been appointed to three committees of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

According to the UFA press service, Ravshan Irmatov has been appointed Deputy Chair of FIFA’s Committee on Football Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation for the 2025–2029 term. The decision was approved by the FIFA Council.
The FIFA Committee on Football Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation is one of the organization’s key bodies, responsible for advancing the sport through modern technology.
The committee develops, tests, and implements innovative solutions such as VAR, goal-line technology, semi-automated offside detection systems, digital monitoring tools, artificial intelligence applications, and other technological advancements in football.
In addition, UFA Secretary General Avaz Maksumov has joined the FIFA Beach Soccer Committee, while the Head of Women’s Football Development at the UFA, Yuliya Panina, has been appointed to the FIFA Women’s National Team Competitions Committee.
This marks the first time in history that Uzbek football officials have been appointed to FIFA committees.
