Mirziyoyev and Putin discuss strengthening Uzbekistan–Russia partnership

The two leaders discussed issues related to the further development and strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia within the framework of high-level agreements.
Special attention was given to maintaining the positive growth rate of mutual trade, advancing cooperation in key sectors of the economy – including joint projects in the energy sector – and expanding business ties and cultural-humanitarian exchanges between the regions of both countries.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the productive outcome of the second meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, which took place in the Moscow region on October 22 this year.
They emphasized the importance of holding the upcoming meeting of the Uzbekistan–Russia Intergovernmental Commission and the business forum to be held alongside it on December 3 in a constructive and efficient manner.
The presidents also exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
