According to data from the National Statistics Committee, the country exported 2 million tons of fruit and vegetable products worth $1.9 billion over the 11-month period. This represents a 36.8 percent increase compared with the same period last year. Fruit and vegetable deliveries accounted for 6.3 percent of Uzbekistan’s total exports.
Fruits and berries remained the largest export category by volume, totaling 580,900 tons. Vegetables followed with 553,000 tons, while watermelons and melons, particularly in high demand abroad, reached 232,900 tons.
Exports of mung beans amounted to 129,600 tons, while peanuts and nuts totaled 25,800 tons. Other agricultural products accounted for nearly 500,000 tons, highlighting the diversity of Uzbekistan’s export portfolio.
Officials attribute the growth to improved logistics, expanded access to foreign markets, and higher product quality. As a result, demand for Uzbek fruits and vegetables continues to rise across a wide range of countries.
