In an official statement, the regulator said no cyberattacks have been recorded against the information systems of commercial banks, payment organizations, or payment system operators.

“The Central Bank informs that, at present, no such cyber incidents targeting the information systems of commercial banks, payment institutions, or payment system operators have been detected,” the statement said.

The Central Bank urged citizens to exercise caution and avoid clicking on links shared by unknown or suspicious sources. It also warned against sharing personal or sensitive information, including bank card details, SMS verification codes, and passwords.

Citizens were advised to rely only on information published through official channels and to report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.

The clarification follows earlier reports claiming that the personal data of up to 15 million Uzbek citizens had been leaked onto the darknet.
