Housing prices in Uzbekistan rise 4% year-on-year
Residential property prices in Uzbekistan rose by 4% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, with the strongest growth recorded in the new-build housing segment, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Compared with the previous quarter, housing prices increased by 1.3%, the committee said.
Apartment prices rose by 5.5% over the past year. Prices in the primary housing market climbed by 7.1%, while apartments on the secondary market became 4.2% more expensive.
Private houses recorded more moderate growth, with prices increasing by 2% compared with the second quarter of 2025.
The capital saw a slower pace of price growth than the rest of the country. Apartment prices in Tashkent rose by 3.9% year-on-year, while prices across the other regions increased by an average of 7%.
The National Statistics Committee also announced that, starting from the second quarter of 2026, housing price indices are being calculated under an updated methodology based on the hedonic regression approach.
According to the committee, the new method provides a more accurate assessment of price movements by taking into account factors such as a property's floor area, location, floor level, and other characteristics.
