The directive was issued during a July 21 meeting on Uzbekistan's economic performance in the first half of the year and priorities for the remainder of 2026.
According to the president, each asset will be examined individually. If the review finds that a property is being deliberately kept on a bank's balance sheet despite the presence of a potential buyer, authorities will ensure compliance with the law and accelerate its sale.
Mirziyoyev also criticized the external trade performance of several regions where imports significantly exceed exports.
Last year, the largest trade deficit was recorded in Tashkent region at $1.9 billion, followed by Samarkand region with $1.4 billion, Andijan region with $866 million, Jizzakh region with $792 million, and Bukhara region with $662 million.
The president instructed regional governors to conduct a detailed assessment of the reasons behind the trade imbalance and take measures to expand import-substituting industries and export-oriented production.
