During the first six months of 2026, 35,401 foreign nationals traveled to Uzbekistan for medical treatment, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Citizens of neighboring Central Asian countries accounted for the vast majority of medical tourists. Tajikistan ranked first with 19,096 visitors, followed by the Kyrgyz Republic with 9,552 and Kazakhstan with 4,582.

The committee's data also showed that 1,280 Afghan citizens visited Uzbekistan for medical treatment during the reporting period, along with 772 Russians and 119 people from other countries.

For comparison, more than 86,000 foreign nationals traveled to Uzbekistan for medical treatment in 2025.
