Over the past five years, the total number of operating enterprises with foreign investment increased 1.7-fold, while the share of foreign enterprises in the total rose from 56.2% to 77.9%.
The largest number of enterprises with foreign investment in Uzbekistan were registered with investors from China — 6,436 enterprises, followed by Russia — 3,589, Türkiye — 2,365, Kazakhstan — 1,345, the Republic of Korea — 739, Afghanistan — 725, Azerbaijan — 503, Tajikistan — 483, the United Arab Emirates — 464, and India — 446.
The number of operating enterprises and organizations with foreign investment rose from 20,973 as of August 1 to 21,490 as of September 1, an increase of 517 entities.
