Linking prices to foreign currency and contingent units banned in Uzbekistan

It is prohibited to link the prices of goods sold in Uzbekistan with foreign currencies and contingent units. This is stated in the new edition of the law “On currency regulation”.

According to Article 9 of the law, all payments for goods (works, services) in the territory of Uzbekistan shall be made in the currency of the republic, except for the cases stipulated by the law.

Tariffs, prices for goods (works, services) in the territory of Uzbekistan, including the ones on national e-commerce platforms, as well as requirements for the amount of authorized funds of legal entities are established only in the national currency.

No linking of the prices of goods (works, services) realized in the territory of Uzbekistan with foreign currencies and contingent units shall be allowed.

State duties and other obligatory payments are collected only in the national currency, with the exception of consular fees.
