How are subsidies and grants from the Tourism Support Fund distributed?
On June 1, an international online conference on tourism “The Road to Recovery” was held. The Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov briefed on the planned work in this area.
In particular, subsidies and grants from the Tourism Support Fund will be used as follows:
• 1.5 billion soums for the implementation of innovative business ideas and startup projects in the field of tourism;
National tour operators will be provided with the following opportunities:
• $15 subsidy for each foreign tourist;
• reimbursement of 30% of the cost of purchased railway and air tickets;
Reimbursement of hotel costs to improve the level and quality of service:
• 3-star hotel – 5 million soums per room;
• 4-star hotel – 10 million soums per room;
• 5 star hotel – 15 million soums per room.
• grants in the amount of 30% of the project cost for thematic catering, food and souvenir delivery services;
• guides, who develop and promote new tourism products and routes, will be allocated grants in the amount of 5 million soums, tour operators – 10 million soums.
These and many other targeted support measures, as well as the resumption of tourism activities, will create an opportunity to export $450-million-worth of tourism services by the end of the year.
