New rectors appointed for UWED and Westminster International University in Tashkent
Komiljon Karimov, the former rector of WIUT, has been appointed rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) on September 17.

Prior to his current appointment – since 2015 – Karimov had headed the Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) and now replaced the acting rector of UWED, Abdujabbor Abduvokhidov, on this post.
Bakhrom Mirkasimov, in turn, has become the rector of WIUT. To date, he had served as the vice-rector of the institution.
