At the Farhad border post, customs officers, together with law enforcement officers, detained a native of Bekabad Sh.M., who tried to smuggle $20,000 out of Uzbekistan. It is noted that she tried to take them to Tajikistan.
While pre-investigation check was in process, she again tried to illegally take out of the country $70,000 and was detained at the same customs post.
Law enforcement officers found out that this money belongs to a citizen of Tajikistan, and Sh.M. acted as a courier for a fee.
