Tashkent reducing speed limit to 50 km/h on some streets
Vehicle speed will be limited to 60 km/h on the streets of the Small Ring Road, and to 50 km/h on some central streets.
At the ongoing 71st session of the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies, it was decided to reduce the speed of cars in Tashkent.
In particular, the speed of vehicles will be limited to 60 km/h on the streets of the Small Ring Road.
In addition, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h on the following streets:
• Alisher Navoi;
• Makhtumkuli;
• Amir Timur;
• Islam Karimov;
• Taras Shevchenko;
• Babur;
• Furkat;
• Roundabout on Amir Timur Avenue.
Earlier, it was reported that reducing the speed of vehicles to 50 km/h is necessary in order to fully ensure traffic safety on the central streets, prevent and reduce fatal traffic accidents, and create comfortable conditions for road traffic participants.
